Shenten Dargye Ling
May 19 - 24, with Ponlop Tsangpa Tendzin
The teaching of Ponlop Tsangpa Tenzin Rinpoche, the Head Teacher of the Triten Norbutse Monastery, will be based on Gyalwa'i Chagtri of Zhang Zhung NyenGyud, one of the most treasured Dzogchen cycles in Yungdrung Bön Tradition.
Gyalwa’i Chagtri is perhaps the most widely used practice manual of Dzogchen teaching in this spiritual school. This year, Pönlop Rinpoche will focus on the fifth chapter of the Gyalwa’i Chagtri. This chapter includes the instructions on how the secondary conditions are taken into the path of liberation through the practice of integration within this lifetime, before dying and in the Bardo state. It explains in more detail how the practitioner can integrate all the activities of the three doors, body, speech and mind, into the state of Rigpa; how the objects of the five senses can be taken into the path of Rigpa and the Natural State and how discursive thoughts of the conceptual mind are integrated in the state of Rigpa; and finally, how the whole conduct is integrated into the state of Rigpa.
June 11-14, with Lama Sangye Monlam
As a specialist in tantric teachings, Lama Sangye Monlam is starting a teaching cycle on the text of Mother Tantra (Ma Gyud) this year. The Mother Tantra is a highly esteemed text in Yungdrung Bön tradition, containing such yogic practices as tummo, dream or sleep yoga and teachings on bardo. This time he will cover the chapter called Tharlam, The Way of Escape, that is, escape from the suffering in samsara. The chapter contains the fundamental practice of gong choe nam sum (Integration with the enlightened mind of Lama, Yidam, Khandro), a sadhana that tantric practitioners of Ma Gyud recite every day.
To bring support to our Sangha and to everyone interested in practicing during these challenging times, Shenten Dargye Ling is offering daily online practice sessions led by Khenpo Gelek Jinpa every day from 5PM to 6 PM (Paris time, France, UTC+1) starting Wednesday, March 25th.
