  • PDF

Dear Sangha Brothers and Sisters,

Soon, it will be one year since His Holiness the 33rd Menri Trizin Rinpoche passed away. According to the Tibetan calendar, the date will fall on September 4th. On this special day, we invite you to join us with your prayers and practices from your home or wherever you are.

On that day all the monks of Triten Norbutse Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal, will do offerings and a special ritual called Matri (The Precious Lamp), as well as a special practice of meditation. In the evening, monks, students of the medical school, and lay Bonpos will gather together in the monastery for a butter lamp offering and unite in prayer.

Also the children and their caretakers at TISE, Himalayan International School, and the members of Sherik Phuntsok Ling Bon Society, the founding organisation of the school, will commemorate the day with prayers.

Our community at Shenten Dargye Ling, guided by Yongdzin Rinpoche, will perform butter lamp offerings in the evening time and recite prayers throughout the day.

A present for Yondzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche

  • PDF

To thank HE Tenzin Yongdzin Namdak Rinpoche for having granted us with the initiation of the Medicine Buddha, Sangye Mänlha, we decided to offer him a gift in the name of all. The idea was to offer something authentic, beautiful, useful and symbolizing the uninterrupted tradition, in this case, a French tradition. Our choice settled on a complete coffee service in Limoges porcelain from the Haviland house. The gift was purchased before and offered to our Master, at the end of initiation.

Gratitude Tenshug Organizing Committee

An Announcement for the Faithful Worldwide Followers of Yungdrung Bon:

The members of the Gratitude Tenshug Committee are currently making preparations to offer The Gratitude Long Life Mandala Offering to His Holiness the 33rd Menri Trizin Lungtok Tenpa'i Nyima Rinpoche on the auspicious day of November 1, 2016 and we hope that many people will be able to attend this ceremony.

As many of you know, the Gratitude Long Llfe Mandala Offering Ceremonies for His Holiness 33rd Menri Trizin Rinpoche and His Eminence Yongdzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche was announced earlier and the ceremony for His Eminence Yongdzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche at Triten Norbutse Monastery was completed with great success.

However, due to the health issues of His Holiness 33rd Menri Trizin Rinpoche, the Gratitude Long Llfe Mandala Offering could not be presented to him as it was necessary for him to stay in the US for medical treatment. Fortunately, with the grace of the protectors and deities, and the prayers of the faithful worldwide followers, His Holiness is now in great health and has returned to Menri Monastery where he continues his great work on behalf of sentient beings.

Therefore, being mindful of this great opportunity, we hope that all of you will be able to participate in the this Gratitude Long Life Mandala Offering on November 1, 2016 at Menri Monastery in Dholaltji, India. This is a great and rare opportunity and we encourage you to take part in this historical event. The merit of offering a Long Life Mandala to the lama is inconceivable.
