Kusum Rangshar with Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche

Teaching and Practice retreat on Kusum Rangshar

April 22th to 27th

Retreat leaded by Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche

Registration

For the eighth consecutive year, Khenpo Rinpoche will teach us on the "Natural Emergence of the Three Bodies", so called Kusum Rangshar in Tibetan.

This important Yungdrung Bön traditions's Dzogchen text was composed at the 20th century very beginning by the Great Master Shardza Tashi Gyaltsen, who himself achieved the Supreme Achievement, by realizing the Rainbow Body.

Following the Kaloung Gyatso, another opus from the same author, Kusum Rangshar describes the preliminary practices bringing to the Dzogchen path. It presents the different meditation forms constituting the Dzogchen system, as well as some techniques intended to facilitate or support the meditation on the natural state and improve the progress on this direct way towards the full Awakening.

The Tummo practice, or yoga of the inner heat, is one of them. Last year, Khenpo Rinpoche began teaching on this theme, which forms one Kusum Rangshar's chapters. He will continue these explanations this year.

Dzogchen practice and teaching

Dzogchen teaching and practice retreat with Yongdzin Rinpoche and Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche.

July 22nd until August 10th - Registration

We feel privileged that this summer, once again Yongdzin Rinpoche, the most senior teacher of the Bön tradition, and Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung, abbot of the renowned monastic university of Triten Norbutse (Nepal), will stay in Shenten Dargye Ling, give their blessing and share their wisdom.

Those who have had the fortune to receive teachings from these two masters at the same time know that it is a unique opportunity to discover and obtain certainty about our natural state, and to maintain wisdom awareness in meditation.

As Yongdzin Rinpoche has reached the advanced age of ninety-three, it is a rare opportyunity to receive his blessing and key instructions. It is not certain if and when such an opportunity will arise again. Combined with Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung's lucid explanations, dzogchen practice becomes a reality in our lives.

During the first three weeks, the two masters will teach from the dzogchen cycle the "Three Proclamations of the Word", which is one of the four main cycles of great perfection teaching. It contains advanced and lucid explanations on dzogchen practice that are the root source of many other dzogchen teachings.

Anyone interested in dzogchen meditation is welcome to participate, whether she is new to dzogchen meditation or a long time practitioner.

[Paris] Teaching on the DU TRI SU practice

Teaching on the DU TRI SU practice with Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche.

October 6th and 7th (in Paris)

Through the practice of DUTRISU accumulation following the "The Lamp that Dispels Darkness and Purifies Obscurations" we purify negative emotions, and overcome both temporal and spiritual obstacles. Temporal obstacles are obstacles caused by deep-seated negative karma or suddenly arising obstacles like an illness or other calamity. Spiritual obstacles are obstacles that prevent our spiritual development. Traditionally it is very popular to use this practice to heal illnesses.

This practice includes a surchö offering and djangbu ritual (to guide the consciousness of the deceased) that are specifically intended to support and help deceased beings who are in the bardo state.

The source of this practice and its main deity is Kuntu Zangpo. The main mantra is the DUTRISU mantra, one of the three essential mantras of Bön. The practice was transmitted in a direct oral transmission by Nyamme Sherab Gyaltsen to Kundün Sönam Lodrö, the 22nd abbot of Menri monastery.

The immediate benefit in our lives of participating in this practice is that it will bring peace of mind and pacify our negative emotions; this peace of mind will enable our concentration; and concentration will improve the quality of our meditation.

Each of the three events, teaching, practice and initiation, is separately open to participation by anyone, whether she is new to the Bön teaching or a long time practitioner. It is advised however to participate in all three events.

Grand DU TRI SU ceremony

October 14th to 20th

We will practice gana-puja and extensive mantra accumulation in the traditional way during seven days. The positive energy generated by our practice will be used to bless medicine. And we will dedicate the merit we collect to world peace.

This will be the first time that we will perform such an extensive accumulation practice. All the lamas connected with Shenten Dargye Ling that stay in Europe will participate in this auspicious event.

DU TRI SU initiation

October 21st

Either Yongdzin Rinpoche or Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche will give the initiation of the DUTRISU cycle.
