onsite and online
Tsalung, Trulkhor and Tummo
Geshe Lungrig Namdak
14 - 17 March 2024
We are happy to announce that Geshe Lungrig Namdak will continue his yearly teaching on Tsalung, Trulkhor, and Tummo. The seminar is for new people, those who participated in the previous year(s), and long-time practitioners.
The teachings will be based on a text written by the renowned master Shardza Tashi Gyaltsen. Geshe Lungrig Namdak will explain the meaning of the text in detail and show how Tsalung, Trulkhor, and Tummo are connected.
Our inner channels are at the centre of all three practices. There are many different kinds of channels, but in practice, we mostly refer to the two side channels and the central channel. Energy, emotions, light – all these and more are located in and move through our channels, and Geshe Lungrig Namdak will explain how they are connected. Through the teachings, we will also see how they are linked to our organs and, ultimately, our nature.
The Tummo practice focuses on visualising the channels with fire, heat, and syllables, while Tsalung and Trulkhor concentrate on our body's movements and energy. The physical exercises and breathing techniques will be instructed step by step and repeated throughout the seminar. We will learn a few exercises so that we not only comprehend the texts intellectually but feel the connections and impact of the channels and chakras within our body and mind.
Participation is possible in person and online via Zoom.
Everyone is invited to join and participate in the teaching and practice sessions. The number of participants is not limited, but we only have 12 beds available for overnight stays. If you plan to sleep at Shenten, we recommend that you register quickly.
