Tummo Retreat (meals registration closed)
Khenpo Gelek Jinpa
November 24-29
Over the years many sangha members have requested our beloved teacher, Khenpo Gelek Jinpa, to teach tummo. Now we are delighted to announce this teaching will take place in November onsite at Shenten Dargye Ling as well as online.
This time Khenpo Gelek will teach tummo based on Shardza Tashi Gyaltsen's text Kusum Rangshar, which is a complete dzogchen teaching according to Atri tradition. Shardza Tashi Gyaltsen was a great dzogchen master who attained the Rainbow Body in 1934.
Tummo, the ancient practice of generating inner heat in the body by using the mind, breathing, visualization and physical exercises, is one of the most powerful methods of dzogchen and tantra. The purpose of tummo is not only to generate inner heat, but more importantly, it is the main practice for opening the wisdom channel and transforming our ordinary state of mind into the pure state of mind, the natural state. Tummo is also beneficial in balancing physical elements in the body, calming the mind, liberating from diseases, and removing impurities and blockages in subtle energy channels.
