The Boundless Great Vastness of the Great Perfection

with Drubdra Khenpo Tenzin Tsultrim

03 – 07 January 2025

We are pleased to announce that Drubdra Khenpo will return in January 2025 to continue his extraordinary teachings in our Yungdrung Bön seminar series. After covering the foundational Ngöndro (preliminary practices) in early 2024, he will now guide us through an in-depth exploration of the following topics:

  • The introduction into the Natural State of mind through symbols and examples – A profound teaching that uses metaphors and illustrations to reveal the essence of awareness and clarity.

  • The method to develop one’s Natural State and Rigpa while perceiving any objects – A transformative practice that enables one to maintain pure awareness amidst the distractions of daily life.

  • The integration of negative emotions and their causes into the Natural State – A liberating approach that transforms emotional turmoil into wisdom by embracing them as part of the path.

  • An introduction into the Phowa practice and Bardo – A vital teaching that prepares practitioners for the transition of death and the intermediate states with confidence and clarity.

The underlying text for this retreat is Mu Me Dal Pa (Wylie: rdzogs pa chen po mu med bdal pa), translated as The Boundless Great Vastness of the Great Perfection. Rediscovered by Tulku Senyen Zhigpo, this Dzogchen text encompasses the entire path of Great Perfection, from the preliminaries through Trekchö, Thögal, Phowa, and finally, Bardo teachings.

Drubdra Khenpo, the “Meditation Khenpo”, is the abbot (khenpo) of the Meditation School at Triten Norbutse Monastery in Kathmandu, is widely respected for his expertise in meditation, ritual, and teaching. His unique ability to convey these sacred teachings with clarity and depth makes this an exceptional opportunity for practitioners at all levels. You can read his full biography here: https://www.shenten.org/gomdra-khenpo-tsultrim-tenzin-rinpo?lang=en
